For Football:
WINNERS DIVISION: Spartans, Hawkeyes, Buckeyes, Wolverines, Nittany Lions, Cornhuskers, Badgers.
LOSERS DIVISION: Boilermakers, Illini, Wildcats, Gophers, Hoosiers.
With unbalanced divisions, there would be a need to expand to fourteen or sixteen teams.
For Basketball:
